I won't pretend I'm good at it, but I'm trying to be more intentional about taking time to feed my own spirit and catch up on fun.

Good for you for being so aware of the need for rest and joy.

:)Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03407981987874669303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16556237.post-1143047518288213912006-03-22T12:11:00.000-05:002006-03-22T12:11:00.000-05:00thanks for your kind comments on grace happens! i...thanks for your kind comments on grace happens! i sometimes forget that i'm not in this alone and being an ACOA i have this intense need to control. God, thankfully, is in charge and the process will have to work itself out.

when we're in crisis mode, it is so easy to overlook self-care! i splurged - i got my nails done ... and now i'm having trouble typing! at least they look marvelous and i feel better!

be blessed, rainbow!nethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02089651607213032025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16556237.post-1142912482266793522006-03-20T22:41:00.000-05:002006-03-20T22:41:00.000-05:00This is weird but true...ever since I've started t...This is weird but true...ever since I've started taking blood pressure medicine, my cold tolerance has tanked. When I used to live in northern Michigan, it could be 15 below and I'd be happily wandering around in the cold; not anymore. And this makes me feel like such a wimp.

But -- it's been warm enough (40's) to get outside again. And it's really true -- walking is a boost for one's body, mind and spirit, all at the same time. So I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing again (while working out, in the back of my mind, some way to keep the exercise momentum going next winter.)

It's weird, isn't it -- how we're mean to ourselves by not doing things we enjoy, and that are meaningful for us. That's true in my own life.LutheranChikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02685566332651377907noreply@blogger.com
